‘Aging clocks’ tell you how much ‘older’ you are than your chronological age. How do they work? 05/19/202605/19/2026
I look forward to my aging process because I’m challenging myself every step of the way! – Life@62! #aging #functionaltraining #outdoortrainingspecialist 05/01/2026
We all deal with things differently! Me? I love getting older and still being able to do stuff! I’ll be 62 this month! YEAH! — “The” Trainer 02/02/2026

Without “challenging myself,”my life is like a vehicle in the middle of nowhere “forever setting on empty” … not knowing when and/ or where I can refill it and feel good about my “position in life again!”- “The” Trainer “Life@60!” 11/01/2024
There is nothing, I think, more unfortunate than to have soft, chubby, fat-looking children who go to watch their school play basketball every Saturday and regard that as their weeks exercise. I train for many reasons but mostly, not necessarily to postpone death, but to “lengthen my ‘healthfulness’” as I age and to decrease uncomfortableness and pain throughout those ‘spiraling times of life!’ “The” Trainer/Inside Out Fitness #aging #aginggracefully #function #functionalfitness #functionaltraining #olderyears #olderyearsarethebest #columbiarivergorge 06/21/2024
Sly is definitely on top of things! “Easier” sounds good and sometimes it is but most of the time when we accept the easier way, we are accepting the fact that “in order to adopt the ‘easier way’ that we are also accepting the fact that we are capable of doing less and less and yes, less!” As I get older, my actual goal is to do more! Example: when I turned 50 ten years ago I ran 5000 miles (during the calendar year) to celebrate! Also I put out lots of posts saying what my upcoming goals would be. What? Well, my goal is that every ten years I’m going to add 1000 more miles to it! So I turn 60 this year (2024) so I am currently running 6000 miles this calendar year! When I turn 70 I’ll run 7000 miles etc.! People ask me what happens if I don’t make it? I tell them that it is definitely possible but I’m not changing this “escalating goal!” But, if I don’t make it one year then it doesn’t really matter as long as I know that I did my best!
