I don’t do online, for a few reasons and the biggest is that if a person has an MI (heart attack) then I’m not in a position to apply my AED (defibrillator) to help save their life while the paramedics are on their way. If a person’s heart rhythm is a bad V-tach or V-fib then they most likely need a shock to get them out of it and it needs to be done immediately. They may not last until help arrives. (Keep in mind that if someone’s heart is in poor shape {and it’s possible that they don’t even know this for sure ahead of time} then they are more likely to have an MI {heart attack} during exercise than at other times!) All I could do from afar is to call 911 and watch them as they deteriorate and hope that the paramedics get there in time! As an ex-RN of 15 years in CCU and a compassionate human being, I’m just not willing to take that chance with a person’s life!
