But even in a culture that tries to push God to the
side, we need guiding principles. We need a context
within which to teach our kids to do the right thino.
even when they think no one is looking. We need à
common framework. A reason to be consistently de.
cent. Try telling your kids why they shouldn’t just
take a wallet found in the back of a cab. Why thev
shouldn’t cut in line when everyone’s back is turned.
Without the basic tenets of religion-in Christianity,
for example, Jesus telling us to care for and treat the
people around us with at least as much generosity and
compassion as we would want for ourselves-
harder than you might imagine.

I enjoy reading your blogs. This one you made a lot of good points in. We need to keep teaching children right from wrong. We need to include God more. a lot have just left values like this behind and we need them back.
