- Aronimink Golf Club, designed by Donald Ross, is hosting a major tournament for the first time in over 60 years.
- The course is known for its numerous bunkers, with approximately 180 spread throughout the layout.
- Key challenges include numerous elevation changes, well-sloped greens, and strategically placed hazards.
- Several holes have been updated, including a new tee on hole 15, making it the longest par-4 on the course.
It’s been more than 60 years since Gary Player won the Wanamaker Trophy here in 1962. This week, the course that Donald Ross called his “masterpiece” is dressed up and ready for a field of 156 to take aim at a layout with some 174 bunkers to avoid.
