Fish

Sharks are a diverse group of cartilaginous fish, meaning their skeletons are made of cartilage, not bone, and they breathe with gills, living in both saltwater and some freshwater environments. They are known for their streamlined bodies, multiple rows of teeth that are constantly replaced, and a wide range of sizes, from the small dwarf lanternshark to the massive whale shark. Sharks are apex predators, but most species are not a threat to humans, and a group of them is called a “shiver”.
