Do you make promises to yourself and then find it difficult to own up to those promises? If so then why does that happen? If we can’t follow through on our promises, what sets us apart from any wild animal? If we have so little control over the only thing we really have a chance of controlling then who are we?

I asked myself, at the age of 12, this question and have followed through on asking it every day since then and now I’m 61…

My answer has always been the same: “I have one person to truly answer to every day, myself! I must acknowledge and follow through on my promises and if I do then I can always hold my head high! Every day may not be a day of great improvement but if I don’t answer honestly to myself, every day will surely be less than I had hoped for and deserve…
