Too many treadmills, step-ups, bikes, cardio equipment. When the free weight section is busting at the gills, and the cardio equipment is getting dusty; there’s a disconnect.

Overselling the gym memberships. I’ll pay more than $10 a month if I can workout in the free weight area without feeling like a jigsaw puzzle piece.

Sitting on a machine or bench while not working out, so you can talk to your friend on the next one, during a busy gym time. Just stand if you want to chat while not working out. Someone else may need that piece of equipment.

Hoarding machines or dumbbells. You don’t need 6 different machines or 6 different sets of dumbbells to use all at once.

Driving around the parking lot for 15 minutes to look for a space closest to the door of the gym. Unless you have a disability (in which case, this is understandable) just park further away and spend an extra few minutes walking in.

Setting up 5 treadmills at different speeds, and alternating between them…rather than just adjusting your speed on your one treadmill. (Yes, actual real life scenario).

Bringing your two year old child into the gym and having them sit on a bench and watch television while you work out. If the place was empty, maybe – but when space is limited? Come on… Not to mention this seems like a safety hazard.
